SUPPORT IS CARE

CANCER CHANGES EVERYTHING ABOUT A PERSON’S LIFE. THE WAY THEY SEE THEMSELVES. WHETHER THEY CAN WORK—AND IF THEY CAN AFFORD NOT TO. EVEN THE STRENGTH AND STABILITY OF THEIR FAMILY.

Why wouldn’t cancer care support all those things too? Supportive Cancer Care sees more than a person’s diagnosis. It treats every aspect of life by providing emotional, financial, physical, and practical support that helps people not only navigate their treatment but live more fully through it. Yet, across our country, Supportive Cancer Care is under-recognized and underutilized.

So the Sheri and Les Biller Family Foundation partnered with us to launch a national initiative to raise awareness of Supportive Cancer Care for those who are living with cancer and their caregivers. Our goal: Help patients and caregivers recognize that Supportive Cancer Care is essential and feel empowered to ask for it.

Our campaign validated our audiences’ need to be seen as more than their body, their pain, or their diagnosis. Our message was clear: Support is care. And it’s time we treat it that way.

Because Supportive Cancer Care is so much more than clinical. It’s care that treats you, like you—like someone with different needs than the person in the next room. It meets you where you are, with what you need most. It’s not too much to ask for. It’s essential care every person has a right to.
